Our client is a large, global asset manager invested across multiple investment strategies. This position will work across all the firm's investments on a team that covers $3B of it's multi hundred billion dollar portfolio. This position works on real estate, private equity, private credit and other strategies all within public and private markets. This role sits in the front office and reports directly into two co-portfolio managers.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the sector specialists investment teams in effort to explore and discuss sector specific views and strategies.
- Review benefits and risks of investments in various asset classes.
- Establish strategic asset allocations that target specific returns, yield, and risk, and factor exposures.
- Create, review, and manage valuation and cash flow models for the private funds - which includes the deployment and return of capital, as well as reinvestments.
- Monitor the asset class as well as sector valuations in effort to identify investment opportunities.
- Research investments across the private funds.
- Make recommendations within portfolio management meetings and strategy meetings.
- Work closely with sector specialist investment teams to explore specific views and compare with macroeconomic specific data.
- Compile relevant data, models, and allocations for portfolio management teams and investment committee meetings.
- Work closely with marketing, IR, and operations teams to create investment strategy analyses, as well as meet with clients and prospective investors for grow and retain assets.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of investment experience
- Bachelors degree required
- Graduate degree, and/or CFA or CAIA is a big plus
- Fluency and work experience with Python, SQL, and VBA is a must
- Previous experience in Asset Allocation and Public Markets
