Title: Production Operator
Location: Mexico, Missouri
Pay Range: Full time employment position with an hourly pay range of $15.00-$19.00 per hour.
Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating the production line. This includes running machinery, ensuring raw materials are properly fed into the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, metal fabrication, welding, assembly, inventory management, packaging, order management, along with checking finished products against quality standards, and making sure items are ready for shipment.
Duties
- Follow safety policies, programs, and procedures.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products according to quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks at regular intervals.
- Operate manufacturing equipment following standard work instructions.
- Operate a counterbalance, propane-powered forklift.
- Enter waste and downtime data into the system.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in heavy-industrial, metal fabrication/welding, manufacturing or building materials production environment.
- 2+ years of experience proven forklift operating certification or minimal training preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and specific instructions.
- Good communication skills; fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for 90% of the shift.
- Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
