Labor and Employment Associate
Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join their Chicago office.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of employment litigation experience, including single-plaintiff actions involving discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenant/trade secret misappropriation and whistleblowing, as well as employment class actions and wage-and-hour collective actions
- Experience in all (or most) of the following is preferred: conducting internal investigations, responding to demand letters, drafting position statements, handling discovery (including eDiscovery); researching and drafting motions and briefs; preparing for witness interviews and/or depositions, taking and/or defending depositions; working with expert witnesses; preparing for arguments, arbitrations, hearings and trial
- Experience providing advice and counseling on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment and separation agreements, reductions in-force, and employment related policies
- Must have management side law firm experience
- JD from an accredited university and excellent academic credentials
- Membership in the state bar for the market where you are applying, or the ability to become barred in that state
