PROCESS ENGINEER – INJECTION MOLDING
Exciting Process Engineering opportunity for an established Injection Molder with great opportunities for advancement and attractive benefits. The Process Engineer will lead develop, document, implement, and maintain sustainable injection molding processes. You will provide ongoing technical direction, optimize processes, and recommend new equipment aimed at improving production efficiencies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new processes and troubleshoot existing utilizing scientific molding principles.
- Design, develop, and install end-of-arm tooling.
- Troubleshoot issues related to injection molding processing or tooling, and oversee sampling activities for new or revised tooling.
- Mentor and train Injection Mold Technicians on new processing techniques and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with engineering on new project launches
- Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance cycle times, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime.
- Develop, implement, and audit processes aimed at improving operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering preferred.
- 4 years of hands-on injection molding processing
- Comprehensive knowledge of scientific molding principles and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of automation, vision systems, and robotics is a big plus.
