Director of Plant Operations

As the Director of Plant Operations, you will lead daily operations at a large blow molding plant, driving production efficiency, safety, and profitability. This role requires a dynamic leader with experience in managing medium to large plastics facilities and building a high-performance, safety-driven culture that fosters employee engagement and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing team that promotes continuous improvement and accountability. Drive employee engagement to create a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and minimize waste.
• Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Oversee P&L management, seeking opportunities to enhance profitability without compromising safety or quality. Use financial insights to guide operational improvements and strategic decisions.
• Prepare and deliver detailed performance reports, contributing to ongoing improvement strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 7-10 years of plant management experience in plastics manufacturing, particularly in injection and blow molding.
• Proven experience managing large facilities, successfully implementing CI and Six Sigma practices.
• Strong background in creating and sustaining a safety-oriented culture.
• Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, driving operational efficiency, and boosting profitability.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a nationwide search, so the position might not be posted in its exact location. However, it does require on-site presence. There is an excellent relocation package available to support the move.
