An AV-rated civil litigation law firm in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role focuses on supporting personal injury cases, requiring experience in trial preparation and comprehensive knowledge of the litigation lifecycle. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity, ideal for candidates looking to balance additional work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis specific to personal injury cases.
• Prepare and draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents tailored for personal injury litigation.
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including depositions, evidence gathering, and document production.
• Collaborate with the litigation team to develop trial strategies, prepare witnesses, and support trial proceedings.
• Participate in pre-trial preparations, including exhibit preparation and witness organization.

Qualifications:

• Active California Bar License.
• Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience, with a strong preference for personal injury experience.
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple cases concurrently.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to litigation tasks.
• Ability to work on-site in Walnut Creek, CA, up to 2 days a week.
• Part-time hours, 25-35 hours per week.
