Klondike Digital Infrastructure is a power and digital infrastructure company founded by New Fortress Energy. We are leveraging NFE's expertise in constructing and operating power systems, building critical infrastructure, and developing commercial real estate to develop "behind the fence" data center sites around the world. By utilizing behind-the-meter, on-site power, we're addressing all of the major constraints of digital infrastructure development, providing grid stability, significant transmission capacity, power reliability, energy cost savings, and scalability. We are developing a geographically diverse portfolio of data center sites that will satisfy the requirements of hyperscale users.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee a large-scale data center construction project in Wyalusing, PA. This role will be responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and execution of the project from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of data center requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure project milestones are met within the approved timeline and budget constraints.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and direct construction teams, including subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders. Ensure effective collaboration, communication, and adherence to project goals.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and high-quality standards, specifically for data center infrastructure. Conduct regular site inspections and address any quality concerns.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies. Proactively resolve issues and conflicts to avoid project delays and cost overruns.
- Cost Control & Budget Management: Oversee cost estimation, financial planning, and change orders. Ensure budget compliance by controlling costs and optimizing project spending.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulations, creating a safe work environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct safety audits and training as needed.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and changes. Build and maintain positive client relationships to ensure satisfaction.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and project close-out documentation. Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing construction of power plants
- Data center construction experience is nice to have
- Proficiency in project management tools, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6), and financial management software.
- Strong knowledge of power plant construction requirements
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines applicable to Pennsylvania.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
