You will play an integral role in staffing of internal roles while supporting the HR Manager with day to day people management operational tasks. Responsibilities:
Full cycle recruitment for staff: Sourcing and collaborating with managers to onboard new employees
Review, screen candidates for submittal to internal managers for review
Coordinate interviews for management
Manage shortlisted applicants & coordination of interviews for internal managers
Present offers to candidates and collect all onboarding paperwork for internal background checks
Assure completion of WSIB training and H&S for new employees
Employee Relations for employees including management
Assure compliance for policies and procedures
Health & Safety initiatives to assure compliance
Working within HR legislation to assure compliance
Prepare recognition communications
Ensure up to date employee files
Engage with new HR programs
Speaking to all bilingual employees at production level across Canada (This will include travel to various locations across Canada – less than 15%)
Required Skills:
4+ Years HR Generalist Experience, with experience hiring production staff members
University or College Education, preferably within an HR focused course
Applied knowledge of Ontario employment laws and best practices
Ability to multi-task and work closely with management when required
Strong communication skills to roll out new processes when required
Ability to manage projects and timelines
CHRP/CHRL designation
This is a hybrid role working 3 days onsite
