Our client in Vaughan is currently recruiting for a Buyer. This person will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of materials for automotive production.

Minimum requirements:

• Previous experience as a Program Buyer or as a Commodity Buyer in an automotive manufacturing setting
• Experience purchasing steel, resins, extruded parts, etc.
• Experience with new program launches and the PPAP process
• Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
• Able to navigate ERP software

Responsibilities

• Purchasing and negotiating contracts
• Communicating with suppliers
• Issuing PO's
• Attends APQP meetings
• Researches new suppliers
• Performs tasks in alignment with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards
