The Process Engineer will support our newest facility, work on new equipment installation and commissioning. This role will also support continuous improvement initiatives as well as operator training and development through the creation of standard operating procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Team first attitude with the ability to work and produce positive results independently
- AutoCAD (with Inventor Professional) skills preferred
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties
- Assist in problem solving relating to product/process systems.
- Troubleshooting various electro-mechanical systems and machine centers.
- Maintaining tooling inventory essential to our process.
- Develop and/or update process parameters for manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new products, processes, and systems.
- Product quality verification checks.
- Interfacing with various industry vendors.
- General focus on process improvement and cost savings projects.
- Create and implement standard operating procedures for manufacturing teams.
- Participate in daily GEMBA walks and Kaizen meetings.
- Additional duties as assigned, not determined at the time of hire.
