An established general contractor based in Westchester County seeks an experienced Estimator specializing in ground up and rehabilitation projects for low-income, market-rate, and affordable housing projects throughout NYC. The position involves working closely with organizations such as NYCHA and requires a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for ground up and rehabilitation projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive budgets and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain and evaluate bids and pricing information.
• Analyze construction methods, materials, and procedures to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to project requirements.
• Maintain and update databases of historical costs, unit prices, and other relevant data to support accurate estimating.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in estimating rehabilitation projects is essential; ground up experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with affordable housing, market-rate, and low-income housing projects, particularly those associated with NYC organizations such as NYCHA.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local building codes.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
