The Pump Mechanic will operate required tools and conduct routine maintenance to ensure pump components and machinery are in proper working condition. They will also need to be able to weld pipe.nnKEY TASKS:nnDiagnose, disassemble, repair, and rebuild pumps of all typesnInterpret blueprints and schematic drawings in order to determine work procedures and construct foundations for pump assembly and disassemblynConduct pump installations, laser alignments, and welding processes as requirednPerform inspections on machinery and equipment to ensure proper working conditionnConduct routine maintenance of pumps and other machinery to ensure functionalitynOperate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric toolsnWork within precise limits or standards of accuracynClean and apply lubricant to pump componentsnWelding pipe in housennKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, & OTHER CHARACTERISTICS (KSAOs):nnKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenancenKnowledge of load bearing capabilities of equipment utilizednSkill in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic drawingsnSkill in identifying issues in machinery and troubleshooting problems effectivelynAbility to use variety of power and hand toolsnAbility to read and comprehend inspection toolsnStrong oral and written expression and comprehensionnManual dexteritynControl precisionnCritical thinking and deductive reasoning skillsnAbility to lift up to 60 lbsnMotivated to get the work done and oversee a mechanic on your shift
