Job Description: Pastry Chef
Apiary Fine Catering & Events is searching for a full-time Pastry-Chef. This full-time, salaried position has dynamic work hours that require availability 5 to 6 days per week in accordance with scheduled Apiary events and/or private events both on-site and off. The Apiary Pastry Chef is responsible for all research, development, planning and execution of pastry products for various catered events; attending company-wide planning meetings; writing weekly prep lists; communicating with Executive Chef for pastry ordering; menu planning with the savory chefs; collaboration with the creative team on packaged items; training and supervising one pastry assistant.

Minimum 5 years of cooking experience is required. Resume and cover letter are required.

Average work week is 5 days and approximately 50 hours per week.
Pay Rate $45-$65K

Requirements

? Valid driver's license
? Ability to stand on your feet for several hours, including, on rare occasions, a day lasting as long as 16 hours
? Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
? Distinguished in knowledge and execution of ingredients, cooking methods and techniques
? Ability to multitask with multiple cooking methods and manage a team while doing so

? Sous chef duties during appetizer service and the dinner line as needed
? Create assortments of bite sized desserts as dictated by clients or at my own discretion
? Assist with offsite party packing & leading cocktail/station parties
? Coordinate Tea service for high tea events
? Collaborate with the savory chefs about the tea sandwiches, soup and other savory bites

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
