We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Calgary office. We are looking for someone who can support a wide range of projects and help us continue to build and establish our offering in Calgary.

  • Lead mechanical design for projects such as Data Centers, Laboratories, Academic, Healthcare, Arts & Cultural, Airports, and Commercial
  • Help influence clients to incorporate more sustainable design options in projects and reduce embodied carbon in buildings
  • Coordinate with multiple subject areas and working in conjunction with project managers
  • Attend client meetings and interact directly with clients
  • Conduct thermal load modeling for projects and use BIM
  • Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
  • 6 or more years of experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components
  • Experience with 3D BIM software such as Revit MEP
  • Experience with load analysis software for calculations
  • Leading small to medium size projects from a mechanical design perspective
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
  • Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
  • P.Eng or working towards obtaining your P.Eng

Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Calgary is 90,000 to 115,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Calgary will differ.
