A high-volume oncology-focused commercial laboratory specializing in both solid tumor and hematology testing is seeking a Hematopathologist. You will join a team of several experienced hematopathologists in Fort Myers, FL.

• You must possess the ability to handle a significant volume of work in a multifaceted, fast-moving, and collaborative environment, with a commitment to becoming a strong member of the team and a dedication to outstanding customer service. You must have proficiency in interpretation of all aspects of Hematopathology services, including flow cytometry, bone marrow and peripheral blood morphology, and FISH.
• You must demonstrate exceptional skills in the clinical interpretation / integration of all test results, including molecular data, into the final Hematopathology diagnostic work-up, and effectively communicate this information through the reporting process.

Experience & Required Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree and board certification/eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology board certification/eligibility in Hematopathology preferred
• At least Five (5) years of attending level experience in hematopathology is strongly encouraged
• Active or eligibility for an unrestricted Medical License in the state of FL required. Eligibility for NY, CA and TX a plus.
• Proven track record as a productive member of a multi-disciplinary team, including a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers in senior management
• A proven record of obtaining required information related to identifying needs and potential solutions, analyzing or improvising the most appropriate solution, and determining and documenting the most appropriate course of action.
• Proven experience using an automated laboratory information system (LIS) which features on-line transcription and reporting, and electronic signature.
