Position: Technical Product Designer

Experience: 3 - 5 Years

As a Technical Product Designer, you will bridge the gap between design and development, playing a key role in creating seamless and technically feasible user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating complex technical requirements into user-friendly and visually appealing designs. We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically savvy designer who can bring a creative yet practical approach to product design.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and constraints.
2. Design and deliver wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that adhere to technical specifications.
3. Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of designs, providing guidance and support throughout the development process.
4. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to inform design decisions, considering both user experience and technical feasibility.
5. Stay informed about the latest design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
6. Advocate for a balance between user experience goals and technical requirements within the design process.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of design and technical objectives.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Proven experience as a Technical Product Designer or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to bridge the gap between design and development.
3. Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
4. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
5. Solid grasp of front-end development technologies and their impact on design decisions.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate and advocate for technical design decisions.
7. Experience with prototyping tools and user testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ Experience designing for mobile applications and/or web platforms
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines
• Familiarity with prototyping tools like InVision, Principle, or Adobe XD
• Experience with user interface animation and micro-interactions
• Understanding of front-end development frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material Design)
• Familiarity with design thinking methodologies
• US Citizenship
