This role supervises Maintenance Technicians, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance of plant equipment. Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, monitoring equipment efficiency, and driving process improvements in collaboration with planners, supervisors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision: Assign tasks to technicians, ensuring safe and effective work aligned with agreements.
- Coordination: Work with planners, purchasing, and vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance.
- Documentation: Maintain and review all maintenance records and preventive maintenance (PM) logs.
- Efficiency Monitoring: Track equipment uptime and coordinate improvements with maintenance and production teams.
- Training & Safety: Provide employee safety training, investigate incidents, and conduct regular reviews.
Competencies
- Knowledge of machinery, hydraulics, mechanics, and basic electrical systems.
- Skills in customer service, performance monitoring, and engineering applications.
- Strong leadership, time management, and analytical abilities.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance leadership, ideally in heavy manufacturing or unionized environments.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot, loud, or confined spaces.
