Job Description:
To advise organizations on how to implement green practices and to help organizations minimize the negative environmental impact of their operations. To work with management to develop an overall sustainability program
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
· To develop sustainability project goals, objectives, initiatives and strategies.
· To review and revise sustainability proposals or policies.
· To research or review regulatory, technical, or market issues related to sustainability.
· To identify or create new sustainability indicators.
· To identify or investigate violations of natural resources, waste management, recycling, or other environmental policies.
· To write grant applications, rebate applications, or project proposals to secure funding for sustainability projects.
· To lead, create and maintain plans related to sustainability projects.
· To develop reports or presentations to communicate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
· To create marketing or outreach media, such as brochures or web sites, to communicate sustainability issues, procedures or objectives.
· To assess and propose sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility and acceptance.
· To develop, monitor, track or validate sustainability indicators, e.g. energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, recycling and sales from green or circular products
Job Overview
· Works on sustainability issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
· Develops solutions requiring a multidisciplinary approach and knowledge of principles, theories and concepts.
· Formulates the solution for partial problems that cannot be found by combining previous experiences but by composing newly acquired knowledge.
· May lead multidisciplinary change projects, managing a number of people.
· Works independently and provides consultative advice within specific functional areas.
· Introduces methods/ procedures that are new for the organization.
· Applies advanced process principles to multiple tasks
