We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Coordinator for a food manufacturing client in Fort Worth, Texas (on-site, direct hire).
Summary:
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of facilities, equipment, and machinery. This role involves working closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors to plan preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, track work orders, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. The Maintenance Coordinator plays a key role in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring the timely completion of maintenance work.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance tasks for equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Manage and prioritize maintenance work orders, ensuring proper documentation and communicant with relevant departments.
- Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including tracking work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance records.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, contractors, and vendors to ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and update maintenance schedules, adjusting based on priority, equipment availability, and team capacity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance ac vi es, conducing regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Support the procurement of maintenance supplies, tools, and parts.
- Track and report on maintenance costs, including labor, parts, and contractor fees, and assist in budget management.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.
- Coordinate contractor work, including obtaining quotes, scheduling work, and ensuring quality control.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of maintenance personnel, ensuring familiarity with maintenance
- protocols, safety procedures, and the use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate's degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance coordination, facilities management, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priori es in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with technicians, vendors, contractors, and other departments.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, or other relevant equipment used in food processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with OSHA or other regulatory standards related to maintenance and safety.
