Maintain plant beds, weed control, fence line vegetation control, and police grounds.nnProvide grounds maintenance and quality inspections for the contract on a year-round seasonal program.nnCut all grass around trees, shrubs, planting beds, building, parking lots, signs, and other obstacles within mowing areas.nnOperate, inspect, test, maintain, and repair stand-on mowers, string trimmers, weed-eaters, edger, snow and leaf blowers, handheld hedge trimmers, spreaders, and other similar seasonal maintenance equipment.nnAdditional Responsibilitiesnnassist in performing seasonal grounds maintenance by providing quality service in accordance with the contract specifications.nnMaintain turf by watering, fertilizing, weeding, mowing, trimming, replanting, and performing other operations as required to establish healthy, viable turf.nnTransport large debris, leaves, trash, etc. from origination to disposal site.nnPrune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.nnGather and remove litter.nnMaintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools. Assist in moving lawn equipment from client campus to storage or maintenance facility.nnPerform snow and ice removal from parking lots and walkways by using shovels, spreaders, and deicers such as salt and ice melt.nnProvide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features.nnPerform other related responsibilities as assigned.nnQualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)nnA high school diploma or state certified equivalent required.nnMust gain and maintain NGA site access.nnMust successfully pass HSPD-12 background check.nnPrevious grounds experience preferred.nnKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesnnKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.nnPhysical DemandsnnThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
