Inkeros is enthusiastic to hire an eager and experienced Events Manager to join the Marketing team in our Calgary office location.
Events is a critical part of our business, where we host events ranging from 40 to 400+ people throughout the year in Canada, US and Caribbean. We are seeking a highly organized and creative Events Manager to plan, execute, and oversee a variety of events that align with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to create memorable experiences that engage attendees and elevate our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Strategy :
- Conceptualize event themes and objectives in alignment with business goals.
- Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and schedules.
- Research and book suitable venues, vendors, and suppliers.
Event Coordination and Execution :
- Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including setup, operations, and teardown.
- Manage on-site staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth execution.
- Handle last-minute changes or emergencies with efficiency and professionalism.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and communications, to ensure events align with overall company strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, sponsors, and partners involved in events.
Audience Engagement :
- Design interactive elements to maximize attendee experience and satisfaction.
- Create marketing and promotional materials in collaboration with the marketing team.
Budget Management :
- Track and control event expenses, ensuring events remain within budget.
- Secure sponsorships or partnerships to offset costs when applicable.
Post-Event Analysis :
- Collect and analyze feedback from attendees, clients, and stakeholders.
- Prepare post-event reports to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend strategies for enhancing future events.
Key Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field is an asset but not mandatory
- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of event coordination/planning/management experience.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in Canva and full Google Suite
- Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving : Skilled at handling unexpected challenges with composure and creativity.
- Interpersonal Skills : Quick to connect, Strong communication and negotiation abilities to work with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Flexibility : Willingness to work weekends during events and/or travel as needed.
