The primary tasks on a typical workday include winding disc or helical coils for large power transformers based on technical designs and drawings; documentation and quality checks of the process progress; planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plans and manufacturing standards.nnHow You’ll Make an ImpactnnWinding different types of coils, including helical windings or disc windings for large power transformersnnReading and interpreting technical drawings and work plansnnOperating horizontal or vertical winding machines, overhead cranes, forklifts, and performing welding, soldering when vitalnnPreparing vital materials to carry out the winding processnnPerforming measurements and quality inspections for windings including reviewing the tolerances in accordance with technical requirementsnnSupporting in developing and maintaining the documentation of technical instructions for the winding proceduresnnSubmitting documentation and quality checks of the process donennResponsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system (EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.).nnWhat You BringnnHigh school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience.nnMinimum 5 years of experience in the winding process for transformers is required.nnAbility to use math, read and interpret sophisticated drawings, and perform complex measurements.nnApplicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community college.nnApplicant must be able to obtain and maintain Forklift License and a Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights.nnEffective communicationnnAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.nnOther Key Requirements:nnSuccessful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.nnMust also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.nnMust be local to Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate.nnMust be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for the on-the-job training for a period of 6 months or more based on the proficiency in the area of training.
