A Snapshot of Your DaynnAs a member of the Customs Global Classification team, you will be responsible for accurately classifying a broad range of products in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) on behalf of Siemens Energy legal entities in the United States of America. Within this responsibility you capture data/documentation and determine the correct customs classification (tariff) according to the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).nnThis position reports to the Global Classification Team and works in close collaboration with the Customs Operations U.S. Team as part of a multinational team located in Orlando, FL, Charlotte, NC, or Houston, TX.nnHow You’ll Make an ImpactnnIdentifying the required information for Customsclassification and gathering information from systems and/or colleagues of therelevant departments such as engineering, R&D and other areas.nnAnalysis, collaboration, and assistance in classifyinggoods according to U.S. Customs regulations and U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule.Will need to take into consideration the technical attributes required for theclassification process.nnMonitoring and controlling Customs classificationprocesses.nnEnsure product classifications comply with The U.S.Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and other relevant traderegulations.nnResearch and use tools such as Cross Rulings,explanatory notes, U.S Harmonized Tariff Schedule, drawing/specs, and othermaterials to help classify products.nnActively participate in team growth efforts.nnWhat You BringnnBachelor’s degree in engineering or trade,legal or related or equivalent of education and experience in related field.nnAt least 3+ years of experience in the field ofcustoms classification.nnExperience with U.S. Customs regulations,classification determination, and ability to use multiple tools for informationgathering.nnSystem experience a plus - ERP IT systems SAP,MIC, Integration Point, etc.nnStrong attention to detail, ability to workindependently, and part of a team.nnAbility to understand, createand work in networks within the Siemens Energy organization.
