The Siemens Energy (SE) Customs team supports SE businesses in all customs related matters, ensuring full compliance with applicable customs regulations and internal requirements in an optimal and efficient manner. The SE U.S. Customs Operations Specialist will facilitate transactional support for U.S. imports and exports.

This role reports to Head of Customs Operations and will be based in Orlando, FL, Charlotte, NC or Houston, TX.

How You’ll Make an Impact
n
n- n
Management ofday-to-day import and export activity (e.g., review of customs documents,broker instructions). Analyze and aggregate the causes of customs clearanceissues and delays to drive improvement actions with our partners and staff.
n n- n
Work with U.S.custom brokers, and internal and external customers on all matters pertainingto customs and import and export activities. Support with cross-functionalprojects related to trade transactions and implementation of regulatory customsrequirements for all SE U.S. businesses and its affiliates.

Develop strongpartnerships with SE U.S. business areas, communicating with functions acrossthe organization regarding all transactional operational import and exportactivities. Drive financial optimization through compliant use of special U.S.customs programs such as Temporary Import Bonds (TIB), Chapter 98 and Carnets.

Prepare and submitclearance instructions to customs brokers while ensuring full compliance withU.S. import and internal requirements.

Work with variousimporting requirements such as FDA, EPA, AD/CVD, Section 201,301,232, quotasand Free Trade Agreements.

Ensure fullcompliance for export transactions, including the review of exportdocumentation, filing of Electronic Export Information and record retention.

Export Control Requirement :

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

What You Bring
n
n- n
Bachelor’s orassociate Degree or High School Diploma and relevant years of experience. U.S. CustomsBroker License is a plus. 3+ years of extensive experience incustoms/international trade compliance.

Global TradeManagement technology/ERP experience such as: SAP (GTS or GTM) or other globaltrade management software.
n n- n
Excellent knowledgeof U.S. Customs regulations, U.S. Tariff Classification, General Rules ofInterpretation and customs brokerage activities.

Project skills; including analytics,implementation strategies, metric measurement and continuous monitoringexpectations and deliverables.

Ability to work independently. Strongwritten and verbal communication / interpersonal skills. Presentationskills.
