Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part Time Nights
Job Specialty: Long-Term Care (LTC)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x8 hour shifts per week
Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 1 year as an LPN in a long-term care setting
License: LPN Licensure
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have: High School Diploma or GED; able to work until mid-January; holiday work required with guaranteed 1 out of 3 holidays off
Job Description:
- Perform designated resident care activities under the direction of licensed nursing personnel.
- Provide care appropriate to the age and needs of adult and geriatric patients.
- Meet patient needs for activities of daily living (ADL) in accordance with care plans, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and more.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment, respond to call lights promptly, and ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed.
- Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery, tray preparation, and honoring preferences and choices.
- Address and document residents' rehabilitative needs, including range of motion, ambulation, and correct use of assistive devices.
- Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to supervising nurses promptly and adhere to reporting protocols for changes in their condition.
- Anticipate occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and handle potential contact with body fluids or tissues responsibly.
This position requires a commitment to provide comprehensive care and support to residents in a long-term care setting.
