Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job, part time nights, Emergency DepartmentnnSignature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring for a part time License Practical Nurse (LPN) in Brockton, MA.nnType:Part time Shif t: Nights Shift Details: 11:15p-7:15a; Every other weekend and alternating holidaysnnA New DaynnSignature Healthcare Brockton Hospital Emergency Department (ED) has undergone a renovation concluding in 2024 to better meet the needs of our patients and staff. The ED staff care for patients of all ages, supporting the needs of our diverse community. The ED includes 49 beds including a secured 12 bed area for behavioral health patients. The ED employee’s RN, LPN, Paramedic, Technical and Clerical Staff and works closely with Security and other ancillary services of the organization.nnWe are seeking highly motivated LPN's to join our team. Our goal is to provide a patient experience that provides a high quality of care and satisfaction in a department that provides a rewarding and safe experience for our staff.nnLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Roles and Responsibilities:nnThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible as part of the healthcare team with the care and management of patients during their visit. The LPN will perform professional clinical duties including but not limited to care, treatment, documentation, education and medication administration to assure safe patient care for the Behavioral Health patients in the Emergency Department (ED).nnCare for patients during their ED visit, examination, procedure, and/or treatment in accordance with established policies.nnEducate patients in regard to care within the scope of standards of care of nursing practice.nnDocument patient information in the electronic medical record as necessary.nnAssist physicians and licensed providers with medical and surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols.nnCollection, labeling and processing of specimens. Perform point of care testing.nnMaintain a high quality and safe patient care and staff environment by preparing care area for patients, and work area for staff.nnUnderstand, respect and demonstrate patient confidentiality in all endeavors. Understand the legal ramifications of violating any component of patient confidentiality. Understand and demonstrate the protocol and related procedures for the release of patient information.nnUnder the orders of a physician or licensed provider, administer oral or injectable medications.nnUnder the orders of a physician or licensed provider, administer treatments; provide care for wounds; and other physical needs.nnParticipates in continuing education to maintain current nursing standards for patient care and education, within skill and scope of practice as required by regulations of the Commonwealth.nnDemonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external).
