Our department is dedicated to clinical expertise, education, and research, in a cooperative and compassionate environment.nnWe are part of a comprehensive Neuroscience Center, which includes Neurology, Neurocritical Care, Neurosurgery, Radiology, and Interventional Neuroradiology.nnExperience:nnDirect patient care in an inpatient settingnnNP/PA experience preferablennPrevious experience in Neurosurgery preferablennSkills, Knowledge & Abilities:nnStrong verbal and written communication skills, including clinical documentationnnAbility to perform in a fast-pace clinical settingnnAbility to function clinically both as an autonomous provider and as a member of an interdisciplinary teamnnAble to work with confidential information, clinical recordkeeping and use computer applications such as Epic and MicrosoftnnLicensure, Certification, Registration:nnCurrent licensure as an advanced practice provider in the Commonwealth of MassachusettsnnCertification as a Nurse Practitioner; Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred.nnCertification as a Physician Assistant.nnPrescriptive authority for controlled substances in Massachusetts and DEA registration for controlled substances.nnEducationnnMaster’s or Doctoral Degree in nursing or physician assistant studiesnnDiversity is a core value at Beth Israel Lahey Health.
