( Please do not apply here, apply internally through Workday.nnIf you are NOT a current employee or student, please click “Apply” and complete the application process for external applicants ( .nnJOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:nnEvents Assistant supports the planning of special events; coordinates guests lists and attendee invitations and registration; assists with vendor research and maintaining vendor contracts; executes checklists; processes surveys and evaluations; creates summaries and status reports; maintains records. This is a term position funded for one year from the date of hire with good possibility of refunding.nnAssist with planning and coordination of special events, conferences, and meetingsnnResearch venues and services conforming to customer requirements; make reservations as directednnCoordinate attendee invitations; arrange accommodations, transportation, tours, catering, and event securitynnCoordinate availability of signage, displays, printing, audio-visual equipment and other technology, and any special needs requirementsnnExecute pre-event checklists; address or elevate issues of concernnnProcess post-event surveys and evaluations; provide improvement area recommendationsnnPromote environmental management and sustainability including recycling, conservation, and waste managementnnMaintain contracts, agreements, and other records; create summaries and status reportsnnProvide general administrative supportnnEducation and Experience:nnThis position requires a High School Diploma plus two plus years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.nnHow to Apply and Additional Information:nnPlease submit a resume and a cover letter.nnThis position offers the potential for a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work.
