Objective / Purpose of the function:
The logistics analyst acts as a liaison between different areas in the company, individuals who excel at troubleshooting problems, managing drivers, and coordinating multiple activities at the same time; knowledge on OEA, CTPAT, CUSTOMS, & DOT to ensure compliance and execution.
Responsibilities :
Ensure materials and resources flow through the company in a timely manner
Anticipate problems and develop a plan of action to prevent delays in the Distribution Center workflow
Logistics must communicate with individuals at different levels in the organization and may be required to request quotes for move of goods or special shipment requests
Prepare information to show the performance of the different functions of the area to develop improvements.
Apply, enforce and audit CTPAT, DOT for all movements; communicate with corporate logistics to be in compliance with CUSTOMS.
Responsible for tracking all routes and communicating any disruption of service and/or delays.
Responsible to Audit transportation companies and broker with HSS to ensure compliance and ethics. Work closely with security to secure our goods in and out the border. Work closely with import/export to ensure customs compliance.
Responsible for booking and scheduling pick-ups & deliveries for services, raw material & FG items, and proper follow-up in tracking them to avoid delays, keeping updated status to the DC team as required.
Responsible for keeping track of the daily driver's log.
Responsible for conducting daily truck verification as required for overseas containers and foreign trucks as part of the CTPAT requirements.
Work closely with logistics & MX import/export team for intercompany shipments between Brownsville DC and Mexico Imports & Exports
Work closely with the Distribution Center team to manage priorities for loading and offloading trucks.
Responsible for keeping shipping/receiving records for truck shipments.
Responsible for monitor goods in transit from Mexico to support External customer shipments.
Responsible for monitor drivers in proper approved areas outside the warehouse, keep ramps organized, update and maintain proper identifications outside the ramps.
Qualifications / Requirements:
College degree in Business Administration or similar
Knowledge of CTPAT certification
3 years of experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Planning skills
Communication skills
Forklift license and training preferred.
Problem solving skills
Flexible work schedule. Willing to work weekends to cover special events/situations, like the month end, etc. and ensure that work is completed on a time manner (minimum twice per month)
