This OpportunitynnWSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Coordinator for our Atlanta, GA Transportation team. Provides assistance with managing the administrative, commercial, and technical components of assigned projects in accordance with WSP’s core values and the level of project services agreed upon in the contract by WSP and the clients.nnTasks include responsibility for the overall performance of the assigned projects including financial, technical, client satisfaction, quality, safety, and schedule. Ensures that responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle (proposal phase, project startup and planning, project execution, reporting, and project closeout) are adhered to, delivered, and audited with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable corporate standards for execution, profitability, quality, safety, and operational purpose.nnYour ImpactnnParticipate in the development of project proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.nnParticipate in developing the work breakdown structure (WBS) tasks and estimated costs.nnUpdate documentation within designated systems and processes, including: Risk (REF/RMP), Project Management Plan (PMP), Project Quality Plan (QP), Project Safety (PSP), and Communications Plan as necessary.nnAssist with facilitating project kick-off meetings with key stakeholders.nnWork collaboratively with Project Accounting to assist with monitoring and tracking project metrics, estimated time-to-completion, cash management, and budgeted margin for a project or an assigned portfolio of projects.nnAssist with budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management and control.nnCoordinate with area/technical managers to address project resource and subcontractor requirements in a timely manner.nnAssist with overseeing subcontractors, and coordinating supplier submissions, invoices, and payments.nnImmediately communicate and escalate any project site Health & Safety or client issues to senior PM staff and leadership.nnParticipate in problem project reviews, providing input about root cause issues and potential solutions to leadership and other stakeholders.nnProvide regular project reporting and updates to clients, technical area, and business unit managers.nnLiaise with the Procurement Department to closeout procurements and/or supplier agreements as appropriate.nnComplete formal project closeout activities, along with conducting and documenting a lessons-learned meeting with key project staff.nnDevelop sufficient financial acumen to understand project financial data.nnRemain current in the latest Project Management techniques and practices (PMAP).nnExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.nnPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.nnWho You ArennRequired QualificationsnnHigh School Diplomann7+ years of relevant post education experience in a project management role within our industry.nnUnderstanding of project delivery process within the A/E/C industry and defined background and experience in project management.nnCompetent analytical and organizational skills, with business acumen to bridge the business and project management.nnCapable critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make assessments and calculations involving the application of project management principles, with a sound understanding of intent, impact, and optimal outcomes.nnHighly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally.nnCapable self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and adjusting readily to the changing prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.nnWorks independently with minimal oversight and strict adherence to QA/QC.nnWell-developed with technical writing, office automation, relevant software, MS Office suite products (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint), technology, spreadsheets, and PM tools.nnEffective at coordinating resources, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and others to complete tasks competently and efficiently.nnProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.nnAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.nnOccasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.nn#LI-LD1nnAbout WSPnnWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
