Entry Level Timecard Specialist
About the Role:
As an Entry Level Timecard Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee timecards. You will be responsible for assisting with timekeeping activities, data entry, and payroll processing to support the organization's workforce management efforts. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in payroll administration and timekeeping systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the collection, review, and verification of employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
- Enter timecard data into the payroll system and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Review timecards for discrepancies, errors, or missing information, and follow up with employees or supervisors to resolve issues.
- Generate reports and summaries of timekeeping data for payroll processing and analysis.
- Assist with the administration of timekeeping systems, including troubleshooting issues, updating employee records, and maintaining system integrity.
- Provide support to payroll and HR teams as needed, including responding to inquiries from employees regarding timekeeping policies and procedures.
- Assist with special projects or initiatives related to timekeeping, payroll, or workforce management as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred.
- No prior experience required; however, experience with data entry or clerical work is a plus.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes, timekeeping systems, and labor regulations is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry skills are required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Familiarity with payroll software or timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Kronos) is a plus.
"The pay range for this position starts at $17.50 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
