Job Title: Buyer/PlannernnJob DescriptionnnWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and the planning of production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.nnResponsibilitiesnnUtilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to place purchase orders at designated lead time.nnRespond to Buyer Dashboard push/pull/cancel/expedite messages accordingly.nnRecommend opportunities for volume discounts with suppliers for high-frequency items.nnUpdate Purchase Order records with lead times, expected delivery dates, delays, and early shipments where appropriate.nnDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.nnMaintain accurate supplier record information with current lead time, pricing, MOQs, etc.nnMonitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.nnProvide support to Product Sourcing and Engineering in getting new product designs to suppliers for manufacture.nnProcess internal purchase requisitions for new product development.nnUtilize MRP systems to release scheduled work orders.nnIn coordination with Warehouse management, issue parts, assemblies and roll up/close work orders when jobs are completed.nnAnalyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly.nnParticipate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.nnStay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and production planning.nnEssential SkillsnnBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.nn2-4 years of experience in a buyer/planner role within a manufacturing or semiconductor environment is a requirement.nnProficiency in MRP/ERP systems (Netsuite preferred).nnStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.nnExcellent communication and negotiation skills.nnAbility to work independently and as part of a team.nnAdditional Skills & QualificationsnnAPICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.nnKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.nnProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).nnStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.nnAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.nnWork EnvironmentnnOffice environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor.
