Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Buyer with a strong background in purchasing negotiations, ERP/MRP systems, and a proven track record of success in supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of professional supply chain experience and expertise in managing the procurement process from sourcing to negotiation and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute purchasing negotiations with vendors to secure optimal terms and pricing for materials and services.
- Utilize JD Edwards or similar ERP/MRP systems for procurement activities, ensuring accuracy and timely transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure supply chain efficiency and continuity.
- Analyze market trends and conduct supplier evaluations to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, production, and finance, to support purchasing needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering to avoid production delays.
- Manage purchase orders, supplier communications, and resolve any issues related to product delivery or quality.
- Lead efforts to optimize purchasing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in supply chain and procurement roles.
- Proven track record of successful negotiations and vendor management.
- Proficiency in JD Edwards or similar ERP/MRP software systems.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, purchasing strategies, and procurement best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
