Associate General Counsel - First Party Defense
Pensacola, FL (Remote)
The Associate General Counsel reports directly to the Executive General Counsel and is responsible for handling a variety of fairly routine assigned legal projects within the Legal Department.
Essential Job Functions
• Negotiate, write, and execute agreements and contracts
• Offer counsel on a variety of legal issues
• Ensure legal objectives are met
• Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates
• Litigate First-Party insurance lawsuits.
Marginal Job Functions
• Conducts legal research and investigation on fairly routine claims and defenses
• Develops oral and written advice and presents recommendations to management
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda to the general counsel
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Experience in a law firm environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Problem Solving/Analysis
• Law degree/admitted to the bar
