Requisition Summary Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Instructional Designer to add to our Service Programs team in Denton, Texas. Candidates: The start date for this position will be no sooner than January 2, 2025. Job Functions / Responsibilities This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to: Design, develop, and implement engaging online and in-person courses that meet learner needs and organizational objectives. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure course content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry standards. Create instructional materials, including multimedia presentations, e-learning modules, and assessments that enhance the learning experience. Integrate gamification elements into course designs to increase learner engagement and motivation. Develop interactive scenarios, quizzes, and game-based learning activities that facilitate skill application and retention. Utilize data analytics to assess course effectiveness and learner performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement. Conduct formative and summative evaluations to gather feedback and refine course materials based on learner outcomes. Assist in promoting training programs by creating compelling course descriptions and marketing materials. Collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders to identify market trends and opportunities for new course offerings. Participate in client meetings and presentations to articulate the value and benefits of educational programs. Up to 25% Travel is to be expected. Skills The skills that are important to be successful in this position are as follows: Proven experience in instructional design and course development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating effective course materials. Expertise in gamification strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement. Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform course design and evaluate learning outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Creative problem-solving abilities to design innovative learning experiences that meet varied learner needs. Familiarity with sales and marketing principles related to educational programs is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. 5 years of related experience.
