An excellent opportunity is now available for a Trauma Program Nurse Manager in a San Francisco Bay Area Medical Center.
The Nurse Manager of Trauma Program will report to the Nurse Director Emergency, Trauma and Acute Care services and will collaborate with the Trauma Services Medical Director. The Trauma Services Nurse Manager will be supported by a Trauma Program Coordinator, and will directly manager 25 trauma nurses, 2 injury Prevention Nurses and a Trauma Registrar.
This well regarded non profit medical Center has a 30+ bed Emergency department, which sees approximately 60,000 annual patient visits, of which 2500 are trauma cases. The Trauma Manager will oversee the 24-hour supervision of the Trauma Departments which feature state of the art equipment, and top of the line technology.
The experienced Trauma Program Manager will be responsible for directing all clinical and operational aspects of the Trauma Center, Trauma Clinic and Trauma Registry. The Trauma Nurse Manager will oversee all staff hiring, retention, and performance, while also creating and implementing performance and safety improvement procedures.
The Trauma Program Manager will be responsible for business development, structuring budgets, supply chain management, and overall program development. The Trauma Program Manager will collaborate with a Trauma Surgeons, a Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist, Physician Assistants and a tenured team of staff nurses.
