The Consolidations Accounting Manager role will be a key member of the Krispy Kreme Finance & Accounting team. Supports the global consolidated monthly close process by coordinating with subsidiary local accounting teams, uploading and reviewing their results, and processing consolidations journal entries including intercompany eliminations. This role is also responsible for certain corporate accounting duties including but not limited to the following: data analytics, goodwill and intangible assets, treasury accounting, and business combinations. This role has an uncompromising responsibility to ensure internal controls and business practices are followed. This position analyzes financial data and transactions to identify significant fluctuations for review and accuracy. A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Oversee the global monthly consolidations process, including performing and reviewing intercompany eliminations, processing certain cost allocations, and ensuring the consolidated results are ready for the external reporting team. Perform month-end activities relevant to assigned areas, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounting processes. Provide technical accounting support to FP&A and subsidiary businesses. Lead the accounting and integration for any business combinations that occur. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting to share insights. Develop, evaluate, and enhance internal controls to support a strong and efficient control environment. Regularly review balance sheet data to validate accuracy. Document more complex accounting processes by drafting internal accounting whitepapers as needed. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to develop efficient controls and address audit findings. Design and implement standard processes and procedures for areas assigned. Frequently review processes for improvement and drive efficiencies through automation and optimized processes. Continuously strive for excellence, improvement, and best-in-class ways of working. Support the broader Finance & Accounting team by developing productive working relationships, partnering with stakeholders, and being a team player that is willing to assist others for the good of the team. Ensure we remain well-prepared for change and growth by actively developing new skillsets and capabilities. YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. CPA with large public accounting firm experience preferred. Hands-on experience and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and full picture of business cycles, from transactional subledger accounting to the consolidated financial statements and disclosures. Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems. Flexibility and adaptable to changing priorities. Ability to efficiently work remotely or in the office as needed.
