This position is considered office-first. An office-first employee can flex between in-office work and working from home based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor. An office-first employee maintains an office presence at least three days per week at their designated Scooter’s Coffee office location. Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate lives in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role.
Description
In this role you will create world class innovative and engaging learning experiences for in-person, virtual and online learning, resulting in knowledge gain, behavior change and business outcomes. You will develop entire course curricula in a blended experience delivered to frontline QSR team members, store and multi-unit leaders, business owners and corporate employees. Content creation includes operational processes, products, customer experience, QSR management, leadership, values and culture, business ownership, and certification programs.
Partnering closely across all company functions and field leadership, you will gain a deep understanding of the business to design and develop learning opportunities that drive speed, consistency, simplicity, and operational excellence, along with a great customer and team member experience throughout the system.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Scope, design, develop and maintain online, virtual, and in-person training content to enable operational excellence and an amazing customer experience.
- Produce relevant, measurable, and learner-centered experiences utilizing scripts, storyboards, content authoring tools, and user-centered design techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business needs and translate them into engaging blended learning solutions.
- Lead complex training development projects independently with minimal guidance.
- Identify and integrate the most effective and innovative learning delivery practices into training, including interactive live virtual, game-based, informal, and scenario-based learning.
- Ensure content quality as it relates to effective learning design, consistency, accuracy, instructional language, and relevance to audience requirements.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data for training effectiveness and iteratively improve curriculum based on results and feedback.
- Help to create scoping, design and development process and tools to standardize course and curriculum builds.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience creating learning experiences that deliver business outcomes
- A degree in instructional design, adult learning or equivalent
- Industry certification (e.g., ATD) is a plus
- Passion for delivering an amazing learner experience through innovative learning modalities which drive business outcomes
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles, design methodologies, how to leverage it for human performance improvement, and always dreaming up innovative ways to engage the learner while driving business results
- Demonstrated ability to consult, influence, and develop strong relationships with cross-functional leaders and subject matter experts
- Successful record of building effective learning experiences in the format of simulations, scenarios, game-based and gamified learning, microlearning, just-in-time solutions, job aids and infographics, video, and animation/motion graphics
- Expert in development and production tools, preferably Articulate Rise and Storyline, animation/motion graphics (e.g., Vyond), Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, along with a working knowledge of SCORM
- Demonstrated bias for action
- Experience with a franchise-based business model is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 10%
