People & Culture Partner
Location: Dallas, TX (Office – Corporate)
Reports to: Chief People Officer
We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Partner to join our team. In this role, you will be accountable for supporting a portfolio of properties comprised of 300+ employees. Collaborating closely with the portfolio’s Vice President of Operations and the Chief People Officer, you will drive strategic People & Culture initiatives, ensure compliance, and champion employee engagement across your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Onboarding:
- Partner with your portfolio’s hiring managers to identify staffing needs and drive full cycle recruiting efforts.
- In collaboration with our Peer Coach Manager, facilitate seamless onboarding processes to ensure new hires feel welcomed, informed, and set up for success.
Coaching & Employee Engagement:
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on performance management, professional development, and conflict resolution.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including fostering a culture of recognition and belonging.
Policy & Procedure Compliance:
- Offer expertise and clarity on company policies, procedures, and people-management best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and federal and state employment laws.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine and implement People & Culture policies and programs that align with organizational values.
Training & Development:
- Collaborate with our Training & Development team on training sessions for managers on traditional HR-related topics, such as effective interviewing, performance management, and compliance.
- Support our Property Manager’s performance improvement initiatives by assisting in the creation and execution of improvement plans.
Employee Relations:
- Conduct anniversary interviews, exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend improvements to Managers to boost employee retention and satisfaction.
- Partner with Employee Experience Administrator to review quarterly employee engagement survey data and recommend projects or opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with the Total Rewards Specialist and Director of Total Rewards to ensure Leaves of Absence are managed effectively and within compliance.
Data & Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in alignment with company standards and legal requirements.
- Leverage Workday HCM and other P&C systems for reporting and data analysis to support decision-making.
P&C Projects & Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to P&C projects and initiatives focused on improving the employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
- Stay informed about trends and legal updates to ensure compliance and recommend best practices.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of P&C/HR Generalist experience, with a strong focus on recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement.
- Deep understanding of employment laws, regulations, and P&C/HR best practices.
- Proven ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive matters.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a coaching mindset.
- Exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities.
- High attention to detail
- Workday HCM Administrator experience is highly preferred.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
