As a Warehouse Expeditor, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.
The Warehouse Expeditor is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow and escalation of process issues as it relates to our 3rd Party Logistics Partner (3PL). The Expeditor will use critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills to identify gaps or issues and recommend value added solutions that will assist our 3PL with conformance to our KPI, s to meet our internal and external customers’ service and delivery expectations. The successful candidate will be hands on in the warehouse, demonstrating a results-oriented mindset to achieve buy-in and collaboration of all parties.
- Inbound activities including operational and quality functions (notifications, snags)
- Put away activities ensuring ‘’off the shelf’’ availability of material for customers
- Outbound activities optimization to support customers’ expectations (priority, AOG, etc..)
- Supporting implementation of special processes for Dangerous Goods (DG), kitting, Material Return Authorization (MRA), rotable and Used Serviceable Material (USM)
- Address/escalate any issues related to the highlighted processes
- Coordinate optimal operational policies and procedures
- Support third-party vendor’s conformance to company’s KPIs and performance gaps, including overall governance as well as the implementation of action and/or improvement plans
- Support the preparation of necessary reports, documentation and/or presentations for governance of MHIRJ’s 3PL and support of warehousing operations
- Identify potential internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery
- Optimization of ‘’slotting’’ activities for a warehouse efficiency improvement
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- All other duties as assigned.
Here’s what is required to succeed as a Warehouse Expeditor.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse with lead experience.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
- Comfortable using MS Windows applications (MS Excel, Word and Power Point)
- Ability to read and write English. Accommodations may be made where available.
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Experience in a distribution warehouse in “start-up mode” is a plus
- Experience in the aftermarket aerospace industry is a plus
- Third Party logistics/warehouse experience is a plus
