Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, dynamic, and results-oriented HR Leader to join a growing creative organization of 150+ designers and builders. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s HR function as we scale, ensuring we attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a positive and high-performing culture. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 8 years of experience leading HR teams. With expertise in compensation, employee development, and operational HR processes, this person will act as both a strategic advisor to leadership and a trusted partner to managers at all levels.

While prior experience in a creative organization is not required, experience in a fast-paced, growing business environment is important. This role requires a forward-thinking HR leader who thrives in a changing environment, has strong HR operation and strategy, and is passionate about leading HR initiatives that drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

1 HR Operations & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement people plans aligned with the business’s goals, including workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Support the business with all aspects of HR operations, from recruiting to on-boarding, performance management, and off-boarding.
  • Ensure HR systems and processes are efficient, compliant, and scalable as the organization grows.
  • Lead all HR-related administrative processes, including reporting, compliance, and documentation.

2 Leadership & Organizational Development:

  • Mentor and coach managers to develop their leadership skills, ensuring they are equipped to effectively lead teams and drive performance.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify and implement people strategies that support business growth and enhance organizational culture.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing managers, focusing on leadership development, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, feedback, and continuous learning, ensuring managers feel supported in their role.

3 Compensation & Total Rewards Strategy:

  • Lead the bench marking, data analysis, and development of compensation programs across all levels of the agency, including executive compensation.
  • Manage annual compensation cycles, including the year-end process, ongoing administrative support, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop compensation packages, bonus structures, and incentives to attract and retain top talent in a competitive marketplace.

4 Employee Benefits & Wellness Programs:

  • Oversee the development and administration of comprehensive benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to benefits, leave policies, and employee rights.
  • Continuously assess and refine benefits offerings to ensure they meet the needs of a diverse workforce and support employee well-being.
  • Ensure that compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business goals, leveraging external market data to inform decisions.
  • Oversee ad-hoc compensation adjustments throughout the year, ensuring alignment with performance, budget, and business priorities.

5 Executive Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Provide strategic consultation to executive leadership regarding compensation strategies, talent development, and organizational design.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on people-related decisions to ensure alignment with company culture and business objectives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure HR programs are effectively communicated and supported across the organization.

6 Future HR Team Development:

  • Lead the growth and development of the HR function, including hiring a HR Generalist to support the growing business needs, mentoring, and coaching future HR team members as the company scales.
  • Define the HR team’s structure and capabilities to ensure it aligns with the evolving needs of the organization.

Key Qualifications:

  • 15+ years in HR, specializing in compensation, leadership development, and team management.
  • Proven experience designing and managing compensation programs, including executive compensation.
  • Strong expertise in employee benefits, talent management, and performance strategies.
  • Skilled at influencing stakeholders, building relationships, and leading teams through growth and change.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with a strategic mindset and a passion for fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Why Join Us:

  • Play a key role in shaping HR at a growing creative agency.
  • Work with a talented team dedicated to pushing creative boundaries.
  • Thrive in a flexible, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
