Mid-level Corporate Commercial Associate

Our client is an Am law 200 firm, seeking a commercial associate/general counsel for its Business Practice Group in New York, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Baltimore, Indianapolis, Phoenix, or Naples. This position will serve as outside general counsel to regional, national, and multi-national businesses. The salary for this position in New York is $250k to $350k.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years experience working in a range of complex commercial and technology transactions, preferably with a mix of both in-house and national or international law firm experience.
• Experience in ecommerce, supply chain and logistics, software, technology, and international investments.
• Experience drafting and negotiating the following types of agreements: manufacturing, sales, supply chain and software, distribution, outsourcing, implementation, cloud services agreements (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, etc.), software licenses, IT services, ecommerce, payment processing and merchant services agreements.
• Experience handling complex international investments, strategic alliances, and joint ventures.
• Highly motivated and a self-starter; team focused.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong academic credentials.
