Docketing Clerk Opportunity

We are seeking a Docketing Clerk to join a dynamic legal team in providing critical support to attorneys, paralegals, and legal administrative staff. This role is essential in managing centralized docketing systems, ensuring accuracy in legal deadlines, and contributing to the seamless operation of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on court rules, case statuses, and procedural matters to address inquiries from legal professionals.
  • Enter data into a centralized docketing system, creating due dates and reminders, and verify the accuracy of all entries.
  • Analyze incoming correspondence and case notices, taking appropriate follow-up action.
  • Prepare timely, customized reports and resolve discrepancies or inaccuracies in docket entries.
  • Perform quality control reviews of docket records before release.
  • Support the Docket Supervisor with special projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or paralegal certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with rules-based calendaring software such as CompuLaw is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative, docketing, or paralegal experience in a legal environment is necessary.
