Patent Associate or Patent Agent - Biotechnology

Our client is a major international firm, seeking a patent associate or patent agent for its Intellectual Property practice in New York, Chicago, DC, Boston, San Diego, Palo Alto, or Milwaukee offices. The salary range for this position is between $150k to $260k.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in patent counseling, preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign international patent applications and providing patent opinions, preferably in biotechnology.
• PhD in the biological sciences (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Genetics) or a related field.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Excellent academic credentials and communication skills.
• USPTO admission is required as well as state bar admission in jurisdiction of practice (or ability to become admitted).
