**$20,000 Sign-On Bonus**
Full-time - 80 hours bi-weekly
Day shift with one weekday call every 3 weeks. There would be a weekend rotation every 4th weekend working 6:45am-3:15pm. There is a weekend call rotation every 8th weekend.
Job Overview
Under the direction of the radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, the MR Technologist is responsible for the performance of high-quality diagnostic images utilizing proper technique and established protocols. This person utilizes independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for accurate diagnosis. This position demonstrates competencies in identification of pathology, MR physics, patient positioning, MR safety, 3-D reconstruction, contrast injections, IV access, and new protocols. This position is responsible for orienting new staff, troubleshooting equipment, patient and public safety, maintaining accurate records, assisting in student education, proper use and care of the equipment, working effectively with patients and families to provide patient care, maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members, complies with infection prevention procedures, and performs other duties as required. This position must meet the continuing educational requirements established by the ACR. MR registry is required within 2 years of employment within this modality. This position adheres to Practice Standards defined by the ASRT.
Job Requirements
Associate's Degree in Allied Health
Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
ARRT or NMTCB, BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
MRI Safety Protocols, Cross Sectional Anatomy,
Venipuncture
Job Requirements:
Demonstrates competency through ongoing CBE's. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its operating procedures through CBE's. Selects proper imaging protocols, parameters based on clinical history and follows departmental procedures.
Demonstrates organizational and communication skills to promote the well-being of the department. Maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members.
Demonstrates the ability to consistently produce and evaluate MRIs for diagnostic interpretation.
Maintains accurate records through the completion of all paperwork. Work is completed before submitting it.
Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure. Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations.
