The work includes generating and managing detailed fire protection system designs that meet the applicable codes and standards, creation of shop drawings, performing hydraulic calculations, product selection and submittal documents.nnDistrict OverviewnnAero Automatic Sprinkler Company, a subsidiary of Kiewit, is one of the largest fire sprinkler contractors in the Southwest. Aero handles all sizes of work from service calls and inspections to full installations.nnLocationnnAero Automatic Sprinkler Company’s district office is in Phoenix, with branch offices in Denver and Corona, California. Our primary focus of work is for our customer base in Arizona, Colorado, and Southern California; we are also capable of traveling with our customers to areas outside our regions as needed.nnResponsibilitiesnn• Design automatic fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, foam, and fire pumps)nn• Compile and prepare plan submittals (shop drawings) and material submittals for review by architects, engineers, clients, and authorities having jurisdictionnn• Coordinate sprinkler design with existing structure and other MEP subcontractorsnn• Communicate with Sales, Estimating and other departments to optimize design efficiency for fabrication and installation of systemsnn• Perform hydraulic calculations for fire sprinkler systemsnn• Detail the design for fabrication and prepare installation drawingsnn• Prepare “as-built” drawings for in-house archive and client filesnn• Other job duties as assignednnQualificationsnn• Currently pursuing or a recent graduate in a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management, OR an equivalent combination of education and related work experiencenn• High level of self-discipline, motivation, and ability to operate in a team environmentnn• Attention to detail to get the job done right the first timenn• Sound organizational and time management skillsnn• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsnn• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integritynn• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments.nn#LI-TR2nnOther Requirements:n• Regular, reliable attendancen• Work productively and meet deadlines timelyn• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.n• Perform work safely and effectively.
