Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist analyzes, processes and verifies financial information to accurately prepare checks. Maintains files and documentation relating to check preparation.
Responsibilities: - Analyzes, processes and verifies financial information to accurately prepare checks. Maintains files and documentation relating to check preparation.
- Responsible for registers, journals, logs and associated government and non-governmental reports.
- Balance monthly reports to the general ledger.
- Maintain the software systems including testing and implementation of updates.
- Assist in recruiting new vendors in the credit card rebate program
- Balance, prepare and issue 1099s
Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting is preferred
- Effective communication with all levels of staff, vendors, and guests
- Ability to prioritize, organize work, and maintain flexibility
- Work requires the ability to set priorities, organize work and be flexible enough to make exceptions.
