About Our Client Our client has been in business for more than three decades. They pride themselves on having a great market reputation and have a large amount of repeat business. With a full pipeline heading into 2024 they are looking to add a Superintendent to their team.
Job Description The Superintendent will be responsible for:
- Lead and supervise construction projects, particularly in lab/life science sector
- Manage the on-site construction team, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring work is carried out according to plans and schedules.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to develop and implement project schedules, resolve issues, and ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Use project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, and Timberline to track project progress and financials.
- Act as the primary point of contact on-site, resolving any issues that arise during construction.
- Ensure high-quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

The Successful Applicant The successful Construction Superintendent will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, or related field preferred
- 5-10+ years of experience (3+ running projects as the lead)
- Experience managing life science projects
- Fit out and small ground up project experience (up to $10M within the lab space)
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects
- Strong literacy of MS Word and Excel
- Working understanding of Procore
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
