General Description: The Insulator technician position is responsible for performing routine insulation tasks on Pipes, Vessels/Tanks, and other equipment.

- Ensure a safe work environment.
- Fabricates, installs, and maintains various insulation systems on pipe, vessels/tanks, and other equipment.
- Fabricates, installs and maintains various insulation systems such as rigid foam, blanket or bat.
- May require fabrication or modification of prefabricated insulation kits for special purposes such as valves, pipefittings, rotating equipment, etc., by fabricating or altering blankets, shaping, or forming foam or cutting and forming sheet metal jackets to conform with drawings and specifications.
- Properly use and care for the tools and equipment commonly employed on an industrial job such as bending brakes, band saws, banding tools, etc.
- Participate in CCI's STEPBACK safety program and stay compliant with online training modules in Virtual Training Assistant (VTA/EHS). Review and comply with the various Client's safety programs.
- Your responsibility includes always representing the Company in a professional manner.
- Assist in loading and unloading of material and equipment for mobilization. Knowledge of load securement practices.
- Assist and perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to analyze and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Possess a basic knowledge and understanding of the various insulation materials, supports, moisture barriers and jackets commonly used to insulate pipes and equipment. Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the various methods used to install and repair insulation and the components of insulation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret the drawings and specifications as they pertain to insulation and perform basic math. Proficiency in the basic skills of cutting, fitting and installing insulation and the components of an insulation system such as lagging and banding.
- Skilled in oral communication and have the ability to provide and receive oral safety warnings, instructions and task assignments.
- Ability to use a band saw, mag drill, grinder, handheld portable drill, read a tape measure, and other applicable hand tools/power tools.
Preferred Qualifications: - Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely in small or large jobsites or group type environment.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

- This is a full-time position you must be willing to work 50 hours a week and able to work up to 84 hrs. per week.
- The position is on-call 24 hours/day while on shift. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required as needed to meet the demands of the job. Position may be reassigned at any time to meet operational objectives.
- Position may be exposed to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the construction site. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
- Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED is required.
- 3 years of Insulation experience
- TWIC card to be obtained upon hire if contract required.
- A valid driver's license is required.

A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard. - MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
- HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
- VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
- LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
