CCI is looking for an Equipment Operator. This position requires the applicant to have extensive experience in industrial construction and oil field services.

Essential Duties & Job Function:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Ensures a safe work environment.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, with emphasis Loader & Skid steer operation. Other equipment to operate may include tractor/trailer combinations and like equipment in a proficient manner, as determined by supervisor(s). Assemble rigging to lift and move equipment or material by crane or other lifting/hoisting device.
- Assemble rigging to lift and move equipment or material in a petrochemical facility or on construction projects in Arctic conditions. Select cables, slings, chokers, according to weight and size of load to be moved. Ability to analyze weather conditions and recognize hazards prior to the start of work.
- Follow company and client policies and procedures.
- Informs supervisor of any incidents involving injury, spills, equipment malfunction and/or damage. Develop lift plans, load calculation charts and other clerical duties as assigned.
- This position has no supervisory duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Responsibilities: - Perform other duties as assigned by the CCI Operations Superintendent
Qualifications Required: - Must be at least 18 years old.
- Four years in the oil and gas industry.
- Five years Loader experience
- NSTC Card
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications Preferred: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of loader equipment along with the training necessary to perform standard rigging procedures. Possess applicable training as prescribed by the company, client and OSHA.
- Ability to give and understand common hand signals and to safely connect to and lift equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of rigging devices and components such as wire ropes, chains, slings, hooks and lifting equipment
- Skilled for or at least three (3) of the following classes and types of equipment but may be qualified for more. Types of equipment include; heavy trucks, loaders, blades, dozers, backhoes, as well as specialized equipment such as vac-trucks, super suckers, etc.
- Knowledge of proper use and care for tools and equipment commonly employed on an industrial construction project such as chain falls, jacks, slings, chokers, shackles, clips, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret safety manuals and warning signs, drawings, specifications, rigging diagrams and lifting capacity charts for equipment and load carrying parts.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to prepare a detailed time sheet/log of daily work assigning proper coding for invoicing purposes.
- Skilled in oral communication.
- Ability to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment: Flexibility regarding hours of work is required as needed to meet demands of the job. Position may be reassigned at any time to meet operational objectives.
Position may be exposed to extremely harsh weather conditions at times while working outdoors. The company provides arctic / cold weather gear.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the project site. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes.
Physical Requirements: Physical and technical requirements that meet the standards of CCI Industrial Services. Lifting up to 50 lbs. will be required, as well as pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs., carrying up to 50 lbs., and shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing will be necessary, as will frequent keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting and reaching.

Contingencies: Any offer of employment will be contingent upon:
- Demonstrated ability to perform the physical requirements of this position via the successful completion of a Fitness for Duty Evaluation;
- Negative results in a pre-employment drug test
- Attainment of a North Slope Training Certification (NSTC) Unescorted via completion of modules or TWIC when necessary.
CCI will schedule and cover program costs for Fitness for Duty Evaluations, drug tests for job candidates. Candidates will not be compensated for their personal time spent completing these programs or for costs of previously attending the drug test or FFD evaluation.
